Janet Billings
A lifelong musician and educator, Janet has spent overthree decades sharing the joy of music with children and
families.
At Music Together, she facilitated playful, developmentally
appropriate classes that helped little ones and their
parents learn to sing in tune, keep a steady beat, and
connect through movement and song.
Since 1987, Janet has taught hundreds of piano students
of all ages. Simultaneously focusing on technical skills
and artistry, she is very proud to see the enjoyment
and rewarding musical growth they have achieved.
In Harmony, Inc., a vibrant international organization of
women, united by the shared love of a cappella 4-part
harmony in the barbershop style, Janet has served as a
certified contest judge in the category of Musicality since
2019. Her extensive knowledge of music theory has
enabled her to coach and guide many ensembles to
musical success.
She also serves as Bass Section Leader on the Education
Team for Women of Note, a Harmony, Inc. competitive
chorus, providing coaching and leadership.
At the heart of it all is a deep respect and commitment to
students and families as well as the belief that music is a
language of connection, joy and growth.
